B&M in Holyoke - Summer 1970
In the summer of 1970, Pat Hildreth was working in Holyoke. He had an hour for lunch and a keen interest in the Boston & Maine railroad. Whenever he could, Pat would use his lunch hour to photograph B&M symbol freight SJ-1, which usually arrived in Holyoke about 12:30 pm.. On April 11, Pat will present his photos from that summer in 1970 and give us a snapshot of life of the B&M railroad in Holyoke, Massachusetts forty-eight years ago. If you enjoy first generation diesels, this program is for you.
Amherst Railway Society meetings are open to the public.
