The biggest show of the year is well behind us now and it was a great success. The modular layout went together very well and for the first time, we were able to use the NCE® Radio Cabs throughout the event. We had a number of new modules that made an excellent impression amongst ourselves as well as the attendees.
The Modular Coordinators would like to extend a special thanks to all of you that participated with us. Without your help, none of the shows, and in particular one of this size and caliber would be possible. THANKS!

As in years past, we have accepted an invitation to participate in the annual WMRR Show and Sale. While this show is smaller in size, it makes up for it in character. The WMRR. Check out the club website (http://www.wmrr.org/) for additional details and a list of dealer participants. In addition the club layout will be hosting an open house. The club continues to make excellent progress on this layout, and it is definitely worth the 15 minute trip to Dudley to see.
Due to the limited space, the layout size and module participation is limited, and although we don‚t have the final plan yet, all of the components have been decided. As in years past, the Belt Lines will begin setup promptly at 7:00 AM on Sunday morning. Any and all help for this event is welcomed. We have a small three hour window to get our layout up and running by the show opening at 10:00 AM. The show will be ending at 4:00 PM and then we get to pack it all up again.
Sunday April 10, 2011 10:00 ˆ 4:00 at Shirley Middle School in Shirley, MA
Just a over a month from now, we will be participating in the annual NVRA Railfair. This show is continuing to grow and very fun event for all. In addition the club hosts an open house at their club layout less than 5 minutes from the show site. This event is well worth the trip! For additional details on the show and club, visit their website (http://www.nvrra.com/).
Details will be forth coming, but the general plan is for the Belt Lines to begin setup on Saturday April 9th in preparation for the show the following day. There is some room for additional modules, so if you would like to have yours in the layout, please let us know no later than March 15th by sending an email to the coordinaotors (AmherstBeltLines@AmherstRail.org).
There are just two shows left in the 2010-2011 show season and we look forward to seeing many of you at them. Our club website has a number of photos from the 2011 Railroad Hobby Show uploaded on it. Go out a take a look to see some familiar faces and modeling.
If you have any questions or comments please feel free to drop the coordinators an email at AmherstBeltLines@AmherstRail.org.
We are looking forward to seeing all of you soon! And remember: Modular Railroading is FUN!
