RARE MILEAGE! RARE MILEAGE!

Amherst Railway Society is pleased to offer a train ride on rare mileage in Vermont
Sunday, May 20, 2007

We will be joining Mass Bay Railroad Enthusiasts on their “Otter Valley Limited”, an excursion over the former Rutland Railroad from Burlington to Rutland, Vermont. This is mileage not covered in normal operations of the Green Mountain Railroad.

The train will depart Burlington at 10:30 AM and arrive Rutland at approximately 3:00 PM.

There will be photo stops and a souvenir book to remember the trip.

A bus will depart for Burlington at 5:30 AM from Warren and at 6:15 AM from Hadley.

The bus will meet the train at Rutland and will return to Hadley at approximately 6 PM and to Warren at approximately 6:45 PM.

Bus loading points are: Warren at Lizak Bus Co (1301 Main St.), and Hadley at the Hampshire Mall [East end of the mall, in front of Target; please park in the lot behind Target] Those wishing to drive to Burlington can return from Rutland to Burlington on the train.

The cost is $59.00 for the train ($39.00 for children 12 and under) and $40.00 for the bus.

An optional box lunch is available for $11.00, or bring your own. Sales are final and tickets are non-refundable. Smoking and alcoholic beverages are not permitted.
