The Amherst Railway Society is sponsoring a 2-day excursion to the Steamtown National Historical Site in Scranton, PA, on JUNE 2 AND 3, 2001. The trip will depart via chartered motorcoach froom Warren, MA at 6:30 am on Saturday June 2nd, and arrive in Scranton at 11:00 am. There will be time for a museum visit and lunch before our steam train departs Scranton at 2:00 pm for the round-trip to Moscow. On Sunday there willl be the option of visiting the Electric City Trolley Station and Museum or the Lackawanna Coal Mine and Anthracite Museum.
We will be staying at the Radisson Hotel in Scranton. This building is the former Lackawanna RR station and general offices which has been converted into a hotel.
